Siti Nurhaliza Receives Two Regional Record Recognitions After Concerts Draw 145,000 Fans

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Malaysian singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has received two regional record recognitions from ASEAN Records and Asia Records, following the reported success of her two large-scale concerts in 2026.

The performances, Legacy 30 and Gema Bumantara, drew a combined audience of 145,000 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, according to attendance figures reported in connection with the awards.

The recognitions were presented during an appreciation ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on November 1.

Two concerts behind the achievement

Siti's Legacy 30 concert took place on January 10, while Gema Bumantara was held on October 17.

Both performances were staged at the National Stadium, attracting substantial audiences over a period of approximately ten months.

One of the recognitions was awarded for the highest combined attendance at two solo stadium concerts by a Malay-language recording artist.

The category is specifically defined and should not be interpreted as a record covering all performers or every concert held across Asia.

Traditional music concert receives separate recognition

The second recognition was connected to Gema Bumantara, which reportedly attracted 73,000 attendees.

The event was recognised in the category of the largest and most-attended solo traditional music concert by a female recording artist.

The concert featured 34 traditional songs performed by Siti, alongside appearances by guest performers including Noraniza Idris, Haziq Rosebi, Lesti Kejora and King Nassar.

By bringing traditional music to a stadium-scale audience, the performance demonstrated how heritage-based music can be presented through contemporary live entertainment production.

Awards presented at appreciation ceremony

The recognitions were presented by ASEAN Records and Asia Records adviser Tan Sri Professor Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar.

The ceremony also acknowledged the musicians, production teams and other personnel involved in organising the concerts.

Stadium productions require extensive coordination across technical operations, stage design, rehearsals, ticketing and audience management.

The achievements therefore reflect not only Siti's performance career but also the work of the teams behind both events.

A significant moment for Malaysian music

Siti Nurhaliza has maintained a longstanding presence in Malaysia's music industry, with a repertoire spanning contemporary pop and traditional Malay music.

Her latest recognitions place renewed attention on the audiences drawn to Malaysian-language performances and the commercial possibilities of traditional music concerts.

For the local entertainment industry, the attendance figures provide a notable example of an established Malaysian artist attracting large live audiences through two different concert concepts.

The awards also add another milestone to Siti's career, while highlighting the continuing role of Malay-language music in major regional entertainment events.
